Lee County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating two separate incidents of attempted ATM theft — one from a Lehigh Acres bank and another from a Handy Store on Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers.

According to reports, the first incident happened around 2:15 a.m. Saturday at the Panther Community Bank of Joel Boulevard. A stand-alone ATM machine had been pulled from the wall and was laying in the middle of the drive-through lanes.
